What Is a Certified Reconditioned Blender?

In order to qualify for Certified Reconditioned status, blenders have to be unused or lightly used and pass a 13-point inspection. A significant scratch, unusual motor sound, or a date stamp more than five years old will automatically disqualify a machine from the programme.

Reconditioning Checklist

Blender Base

  • Blender base exterior is free of significant scratches and chips on all four sides.
  • Four rubber feet are present and intact.
  • Six-foot power cord is inspected and secured properly with clips.
  • Switches are clean and operational.
  • Face plate label is present and free of scratches.
  • Rubber centering pad is intact and free of significant scratches or wear.

Motor and Control Panel

  • Variable speed dial is functional and responsive.
  • High/low speeds are functional.
  • Pulse is functional.
  • On/Off switch is functional.

New Components

  • Every Certified Reconditioned machine comes with a new container and blade, two part lid & tamper and a brand new cook book.
  • New container is checked to ensure that it shows proper coupling and blade balance when placed on the blender base.
  • New container blade is checked to ensure that it rotates easily with slight, even resistance.
